Revisionist History

Here's a nice example of revisionist history from the mouths of the grumbling Israelites:

"in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full" -Exodus 16:3

Hey Israelites, by the way, that all-day, free buffet you speak of never happened. You were slaves, remember?! There was no sitting and there was no free food.

Don't forget the slavery God saved you from lest you grumble like they did.

A Great Seminar on Redeeming Sexuality - March 3rd

Our sex-saturated culture has taken sexuality from a blessing given by God and made it into an idol to be worshipped and distorted.  Christians experience the results of this transformation in many ways, and believers often feel unequipped to deal with these challenges in their own lives, or in the lives of others.  In this one-day seminar, we will be developing a biblical understanding of sexuality, as well as examining specific topics on how to counsel those struggling with pornography, homosexuality, and lack of intimacy in marriage.  Come learn how the grace of God in the gospel powerfully changes how we view our own sexuality and gives us the power to once again put this blessing in its proper place.

	Jim Newheiser
		Jim has served as the director of IBCD since 2006. He has been a pastor at Grace Bible Church in Escondido, CA since 1990, is a Fellow of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, and is a founding member and Executive Board member of the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals. He is an international retreat and conference speaker, author, and has been practicing biblical counseling since 1982.
	Caroline Newheiser
		Caroline is a NANC certified counselor at IBCD. She has many years of experience counseling women in the local church and has a passion to help women view their lives in a biblical way.
	Tom Maxham
		Tom is a counselor at IBCD and is both NANC and IBCD certified. His workshop is based on his thesis in the M.A. in Biblical Counseling program at The Master’s College.
